To my friend Scooter,
I remember when your Mom and Dad made you a special path in their garden so you could come outside and walk along the path and enjoy the beautiful Southwest weather there in Albuquerque. You had lots of quail to watch, and all the hummingbirds to entertain you, from the feeder your Mom put out. Didn’t that Albuquerque sunshine feel good on you!
Our Mom used to watch you if and when your parents went away on a trip, and Mom always had to find where you were hiding, sometimes you were in the stroller in the bedroom under loads of quilts!
Remember the catnip toys our Mom would make you for Christmas! She hope you liked them.
Mom said that one of the first times she saw you was when our Mom and Dad came over your house around Christmas time. Both you and SooLing were nestled together in a nice furry cat bed in front of the roaring fireplace in your house. Mom went over to pet you and you meowed, “Hey, outta my space, lady!”
Most of all, I will always remember how much your Mom and Dad loved you, and took such good care of you! I hope you are napping peacefully at the Bridge now, and maybe you and SooLing are getting along now!
Beautiful Scooter—rest in peace.
